  • The various streams under which you can exhibit your presentation are as follows.

  • A participant can present at most one paper from any topics related to the above mentioned disciplines.
  • Your work should be original and in the standardized format.
  • Participants are requested to submit their paper only once. Multiple submission will lead to disqualification.
  • The shortlisted candidates will be informed by mail on or before 21ST MARCH2017 5:00PM.
  • The short listed candidates are requested to send their complete paper in .doc format or in .ppt format to their respective coordinator’s mail id.
  • The chosen candidates have to submit a softcopy of their paper in pen drive and 1 hardcopie at the time of presentation.
  • Decision of the judges and the event heads shall be treated as final.
  • Top two papers will be awarded prize money in each stream.
  • Copying from the internet and piracy of papers is strongly discouraged and will not be entertained.
  • For further details candidates can approach the student coordinators.
  • Team can have a maximum of 3 participants.
  • No participants can be part of more than one team.
  • In a team, participants can be from the same or different colleges.

  • Hard copies of the paper are to be submitted before presentation.
  • The Teams will get 5 minutes to present their paper followed by 2 minutes questioning session.
  • The participants should present their papers in presentation (.ppt) format only.
  • Violation of any rule can result in rejection of paper.
  • The organizers reserve the right to change/update the rules of the contest at any point of time and will do their best to inform to participants of the same. However, it is the ultimate responsibility of the teams to keep themselves updated.

  • Participants must register online
  • There is no offline submission of the Project plan.
  • An individual or a team of 4 individuals can participate.
  • Once registered, you can proceed to the submission of a short abstract of your project.
  • A participating team can submit more than one project plan. But the team will have to register separately for each Project-plan it submits.
  • Entries need to have an innovative value (an innovative concept provides a solution for a new need, or offers a new way of fulfilling an existing need or the concept makes a clear advancement compared to Existing Products, Services or Technologies).
  • Entries submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
  • The judges, mentors and the organizers will take the utmost care in handling the entries, and will guarantee the utmost confidence.
  • Every contestant must agree with the rules of the contest and must agree to accept the declaration of confidentiality Contestants must agree to accept that their registration form and other entries will not be returned to them, and accept that their personal data may be used for statistical purposes .

  • Only teams are allowed to participate in this event. No individual participation is allowed.
  • A team should be comprised of a maximum 3 members.
  • The members of a team should be from the same college but can be from various streams. No intercollegiate participants can form a team.
  • No electronic gadgets such as mobile phones, pagers, tabs, laptops, etc., should be used in the competition.
  • The questions may be of multiple choice type, specific answer type or audio/video visuals, true/false, aptitude type, etc.,
  • Negative marks are in consideration for certain rounds of technical event.
  • The event consists of both on and off stage rounds.
  • The decision of judging panel is final no further clarification is entertained.
  • The teams can also have a team name for our identification and their recognition (not mandatory).
  • The Technical Quiz event of this event consists of 3 major rounds:
  • Preliminary screening round.
  • Halfway selection round.
  • Ultimate Quiz masters round.


    This round is aimed to screen the number of teams to maximum 8 for the next Halfway Selection Round. The rules are as follows:
  • A question paper consisting of 30 questions will be given to each team of the technical quiz event.
  • The questions are divided as 25+5, 25 questions are general questions and each carry 2 marks, and remaining 5 questions are tie-up questions , these marks are taken into account in the sense when there is a tie-up between the teams.
  • Time duration for this round is 30 minutes only.
  • The top 8 teams from this round are eligible for the next round.

    This round is aimed at further scrutinizing the best 5 teams out of 8 from Preliminary Round. The rules are as follows:
  • This round is further divided into 3 sub rounds:
  • • Non technical. • General Aptitude. • Mechie corner
  • Each sub round consists of 5 questions.
  • The teams will be asked with questions in this round and to each correct answer 10 marks will be allotted.
  • Pass questions are allowed and to each pass question 5 marks are allotted.
  • 'Mechie corner 'round alone consists of only the technical questions from mechanical curriculum and its oriented topics.
  • No negative marks are allotted for this halfway round.
  • The top 5 teams from this round move to the next round.
  • This event is aimed at verdict out the best team and the quiz masters of KENSHO17. The rules are as follows:
  • This final round is also combo of 3 magnificent rounds:
  • Basic sciences round
  • Picture identification
  • Techies
  • Techies is a criteria round, where the team gets the freedom to select the topic of their own out of the topics provided.
  • Each of the topics selected will have 5 questions, each carry 5 points and negative points of 2 for each wrong answer.
  • Pass is allowed, the pass question carries 3 points each but there are negative marks of 1 for the wrong answer from the pass question.
  • The points obtained from all the above rounds are added up to unleash the quiz master of KENSHO17

WELDING Welding is the joining of metals. Welding is a metal joining process. The objective of this event is to examine the best skill process from the mechie. A program that prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills to join or cut metal surfaces. Includes instruction in arc welding, resistance welding, brazing and soldering, cutting, High-Energy beam welding and cutting, solid state welding, ferrous and non-ferrous materials, oxidation-reduction reactions, welding metallurgy, welding processes and Heat treating, Structural design, Safety, and Applicable codes and standards.


  • The participant should already well equipped with welding machine to attend this event.

CAD Modelling is a computer based design programme, Where one can design a component or a specimen based on their requirement. Hoping for the best sorts of design from the participants based on our requirement. !!!


  • Team can have a maximum of two members.
  • Any of the following designing software can be used CREO, CATIA and SOLID WORKS.
  • Personal laptops are not allowed.
  • Decision of the judges is the final.

  • Participants with a valid identity card or a Bonafide Certificate from their institute are eligible to participate in KENSHO.

  • ROUND 1 :
  • A set of questions ( Both Objective and Subjective ) will be given. These questions will be based on the fundamentals of engineering drawing. The shortlisted teams will advance to the next round.

  • ROUND 2 :
  • It is a CAD based modeling round. It will be a test of creativity, Knowledge and modeling skills. A simple, Elegant and feasible design of the given drawing should be submitted within the given time. Scoring is based on the time taken and number of features implemented. The shortlisted teams will advance to the next round. TIME LIMIT: 60 MINUTES

  • ROUND 3 :
  • This is the final round where the participant must design a model which is based on pure imagination. The type of model will be announced on the spot. Scoring is based on time taken and number of features implemented. TIME LIMIT: 90 MINUTES

  • This contest is open to all undergraduate students from all the branches.
  • Students can take part as a team of two members (single participant is not allowed).
  • The first round consist of objective type questions ,the members qualifying this round will move on to the next round.
  • The second round involves the designing of pneumatic circuit and stimulate it using fluidsim for the given problem using only the following methods in time limit of 90 minutes.

  • • Sequential method.
    • Cascade method.
    • KV Map method.
  • Judges may ask question during designing and debugging process in order to help them asses the participants.

The Event is a machining competition that enhances the vision towards the machinery for an upcoming engineer .The event includes a written test and practical machining of a component in lathe or any special machines.


  • The contestant should write the written test on General Manufacturing Technology.
  • The written test consists of 30 objective type questions during duration of 30 mins.
  • The Top Ranking Contestants are Eligible for the next practical round.
  • The Practical Round consist of a component machining in one hour.
  • The operations include Turning, Taper Turning, Grooving, and Knurling in Lathe.
  • And in SPM’s Slotting, Groove Cutting and Face Milling are included

  • A Preliminary round will be conducted to filter the participants. The Selected candidates will be proceeded to undergo written test and machining.

  • One mark weightage per question.

A water rocket is a type of model rocket using water as its reaction mass. The pressure vessel—the engine of the rocket—is usually a used plastic soft drink bottle. The water is forced out by a pressurized gas, typically compressed air. It is an example of Newtons third law of motion.
Develops the ability to see undertakings through to completion. Experiences the importance of teamwork and individual responsibility as a member of the team. Finds relationships between theory and practice. Develops design skills. Develops the ability to fly a rocket according to scientific principles. Understands the functions of water and air in propelling the water rocket skyward.
The event WATER ROCKETRY is all about modeling a water made rocket. Its made with the help of only pure water as a liquid.


  • Maximum number of students per team will be four.
  • One trail is given for each before starting competition.
  • Two times the team has to launch their rocket. Out of two the best score is selected.
  • Liquid used must be pure water ,ingredients such as salt, soap etc should not be used, if found team will be disqualified.
  • Water pressure should be maximum 40 psi for 2 litres and 20 psi for 1 litre.
  • Score is done based on the rocket launch distance, proper landing etc...
  • Rocket which is launched on straight path for a long distance can score an extra point.

  • The performance of the rocket is tested based on distance travelled by the rocket, stability, angle of deviation, and proper landing.
